FAQ - Mala Vila

1. Where is Mala Vila?

Mala Vila is located in a small village Stari Glog 50km east of Zagreb airport. Even though we are set inside a forest, the entrance to Mala Vila can clearly be seen from the main village road. Google Map

2. What time is check in/check out?

Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check out before 11:00 AM.

3. Can Mala Vila arrange airport transfers?

We can arrange private airport transfers for you (for up to 4 people per transfer).

4. Aside from accommodation, what else is included in the rate?

The rate also includes welcome cake on arrival, complimentary tea, coffee, and bottled water.

5. What about breakfast?

Breakfast is provided in a breakfast basket, delivered to your terrace from 7:30 AM. All ingredients are from our organic farm and local kitchen. Breakfast basket contains eggs, fresh bread/pastries, honey, jam, cottage cheese, and nuts.

6. What wellness is available?

Hot tub with jacuzzi can be booked by hourly slots throughout your stay.

7. Can I bring my children along?

Children over 12 years old can stay at Mala Vila.

8. Can I bring my pets along?

Some pets can stay upon a special request.

9. How many people can stay in each house?

Up to two persons can sleep inside each house.

10. What food and drinks options are available?

In-room water, tea and coffee are complimentary throughout your stay. If you would like us to fill up your fridge with groceries, just let us know and we will arrange this at additional cost of €100. There is also a minibar where you will find champagne, wine, and nibbles for purchase. Each cabin has a kitchenette where you can prepare and eat your meals. Nearby restaurants are approximately 10 minutes’ drive, and some deliver meals straight to Mala Vila.

11. What is the minimum/maximum stay?

Minimum stay is 1 night, and maximum stay is 3 months.

12. Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not allowed throughout Mala Vila or inside the cabins. €100 fee will be charged if the non-smoking rule is ignored.

13. What is the weather like in this part of Croatia?

Continental Croatia has seasonal weather, and the forest tends to be a few degrees cooler than the rest of the area. The coldest temperatures of around 0 degrees Celsius can usually be experienced between November and February. March through to May is springtime weather with temperatures 10-20 degrees, and June through to October is the warmest period with temperatures of around 20-35 degrees.

14. What should I pack?

Warm jumper, gumboots, and mosquito repellent will be handy. We also encourage you to bring your own toiletries to minimize waste. We have you covered, though, as we always keep the bathroom well supplied.

15. How far is Mala Vila from the nearest store?

We are 5 minutes’ drive away from the nearest grocery store, and 10 minutes’ drive from the nearby town where you can find large supermarkets, bars, and restaurants.

16. Is there a wi-fi access?

Entire site has free wi-fi for our guests’ use.

17. Can I book the entire retreat for private use?

Yes, you can have the entire Mala Vila just for your use. Please contact us directly to book Mala Vila exclusively for your special stay. The entire retreat can sleep up to 8 people.

18. Can I book an event at Mala Vila?

Events of up to 50 people can be booked, which means you will book the entire retreat exclusively. Location filming, special openings, intimate weddings, special gatherings – to name a few, can be hosted at Mala Vila. Reach out to us to discuss the options and check availability.
